Mekong Delta is the lower part of the legendary Mekong River. From the Tibetan plateau, it runs through China, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia before coming to the South of Vietnam. Its name in our land is “Nine Dragon River” because it’s divided into thousands of intermingled branches and rivers, and creates nine river mouths before drifting out to the Sea like the nine happy dragons of mythology. | 08:30 – 10:30 | Leave the hustle and bustle of Hồ Chí Minh City behind and embark on a scenic 2-hour journey to the serene city of Bến Tre, with a stop along the way for toilet and refreshment. |
| 10:30 – 12:00 | Upon arrival, we will board a motorboat and cruise along the vast network of canals and channels to enjoy the wonderful views of life along the Mekong River. During the tour, you will visit different sights to learn more about local crafts, such as a brick kiln, traditional workshops, and a local family’s home to observe the making of traditional mats while enjoying tea and fruits. |
| 12:00 – 13:00 | Experience the local way of life by having a ride in a rowed-sampan along a shady canal and taking a motor cart or cycle ride through green fields and vegetable plantations. |
| 13:00 – 14:00 | Enjoy a delicious Vietnamese 5-course set menu for lunch at a riverside restaurant. Please inform us in advance if you have any dietary restrictions. |
| 14:00 – 17:00 | After lunch, we will drive 2 hours to Cần Thơ where we will check into a rustic homestay. |
| 18:00 – 20:00 | You will have the opportunity to join a cooking class guided by your host and enjoy a wonderful dinner. The experience concludes with an overnight stay in Cần Thơ. |
DAY 2: CẦN THƠ – FLOATING MARKET – CÁI BÈ VILLAGE – HỒ CHÍ MINH CITY (BREAKFAST & LUNCH)
| 06:00 – 10:30 | Enjoy a light breakfast at your homestay before taking a motor-boat to the largest floating market, Cái Răng. Observe colorful boats trading fruits and vegetables. Walk on a peaceful country road to visit a nearby flea market, noodle factory, and tropical fruit gardens. |
| 10:30 – 13:00 | Bid farewell to your host before heading 1.5 hours to the charming village of Cái Bè. Upon arrival, Enjoy your delicious lunch at a local home where your host will showcase a cooking demonstration. |
| 13:00 – 14:00 | After that, we can opt to either take a break at the house or embark on a short cycling tour around the village, which provides an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the local way of life. |
| 14:00 – 16:00 | Enjoy a comfortable 2 hour transfer back to the city, and we’ll drop you off at the pick-up point or District 1 as per your request. |
