You will have the opportunity to learn a selection of favorite dishes, an ability to recognize the basic ingredients, the blending of these many ingredients and spices to create the famous “nước mắm” (fish sauce) as well as cooking of the multitude of different rice. Apart from the preparation and cooking under our Chef guidance, you will be introduced to the traditional Vietnamese kitchen with cooking utensils still closely linked to the Vietnamese way of life in the past, you will learn a touch of oriental science with the Yin-Yang balance to respect, some of the history of Vietnamese Cuisine from its roots in the Hue Citadel Imperial Cuisine to the effects of various influences from both the West and other Eastern Cultures. Finally, you will understand the intricacies of the Vietnamese dining Etiquette and the technique to master the chopsticks!

We pick-up guests from several hotels. Please be ready at 7:30 a.m.

Meet your guide and cyclo driver at the lobby for a relaxed ride through Sai Gon’s lively streets to Ben Thanh Market to meet the chef and explore Vietnamese ingredients.
08:30 – 09:00
At the market, you’ll meet your chef and explore the stalls to learn about and purchase ingredients for the class on Vietnamese cooking.
09:00 – 11:00
During the class, the chef will guide you through the intricacies of Vietnamese cuisine, including unique spices and the importance of balancing flavors. You will receive detailed demonstrations and step-by-step instructions to prepare each culinary creation. Our professional staff will be on hand to assist you with any questions, and after each dish is prepared, you’ll learn how to check if your technique and seasoning are properly applied.
11:00 – 12:00
The best part is when you get to enjoy the delicious dishes you created yourself. After your culinary masterpiece is complete, you’ll receive a recipe book and a certificate to commemorate your journey.
12:00 – 12:30
Finally, we’ll drop you off back at your pick-up point in the city center as per your request.
